Role dimensions: 300 SKUs, $ 250 M regional US business, 6 supply network locations, 3 regional distribution points

Key responsibility ( functional work scope ):

  • Direct & Manage a team of Demand/supply planning, Regional Logistics, Site materials management / procurement leads - responsible for supply from Internal & External supply network to Strides USA market
  • Supervise daily supply chain activities of the teams and status of the key issues and liaise with the internal stakeholders, markets, corporate functions with regards to issues resolution. Escalate main issues to Head of Global supply chain & Regional Ops ( CR plant head ) for joint resolution
  • Establish KPIs of E2E supply chain in the US and initiate process improvements - Own accountability of scorecard targets including service, cost & inventory/lead-time performance objectives
  • Align distribution & logistics strategy including establishing capability for the US logistics network ( systems, process, work-force and transportation contracts/costs )
  • Lead & Direct monthly replenishment process for Supply Network Operations that supports customer service and inventory metrics across the defined product portfolio
  • Establish the US Regional S&OP process through relevant metric reporting and summary of key supply/capacity decisions required
  • Manage the process of end to end execution cycle of supply
  • Manage the escalated customer service issues and facilitate discussions to resolve with the Internal / External supply network teams
  • Perform management reporting on customer service issues
  • Direct the process of key planning parameters and Master Data maintenance, to optimize the supply chain performance
  • Actively contribute to the development of the supply planning strategy and implement relevant elements within GPS Supply Chain area according to globally agreed Supply Chain planning strategy
  • Partner with the Supplier Relationship/Procurement Teams to support contracting, performance management and the ongoing relationship with Third Party Suppliers
  • Ensure best practice in the Supply Planning and Inventory Management processes
  • Actively participate in New Product Introduction teams, changes in supply chains, and ensure supply setups and plans are developed, communicated and executed in support of the project timelines. Provide updates to senior leadership including identification of key milestones and resources required. Includes product transfers, as appropriate
  • Establish best practice Demand planning & management processes in collaboration with Commercial Operations, Sales/Marketing teams
  • Leadership, Coaching & Development of teams to ensure high commitment, high performance inclusive & diverse organization
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance to policies & procedures in a GMP environment ( Serialization, DEA controlled substances, import licensing )



  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline ( Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering )
  • Recognized professional qualification in a supply chain discipline

Required Experience & Knowledge

  • Minimum 10 -12 years related Supply Chain experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a global environment
  • New Product Introduction experience
  • Lean & Business Process Improvement experience
  • Experience leading and developing a team - Driving change in an inclusive way
  • Pharmaceutical and SAP experience strongly preferred
