This position provides strategic and tactical oversight for all aspects of the site’s Supply Chain activities, including: planning & scheduling, inventory management, supplier management, procurement, and customer shipment functions. The Associate Director of Supply Chain serves as a key member of the site’s leadership team and must maintain a strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders, while leading end-to-end supply chain business processes.
  • Develop and implement relevant SOPs for all aspects of the Supply Chain Management process
  • Define and lead initiatives related to supply and demand planning
  • Implement tools and metrics to ensure transactional accuracy of raw materials and finished products
  • Accurate and timely ordering, receiving, and distribution of materials
  • Establishes and executes material planning procedures to ensure a consistent supply of materials
  • Proactively identify risks across the supply chain
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Development, and other supporting functions to manufacture and ship finished products according to customer specifications
  • Oversee annual RFQ process to ensure most competitive costs are achieved and establishes annual contracts based on RFQ's
  • Manage supplier selection and relationship management to maximize RFT delivery and product quality
  • Provide daily direction and coaching to supply chain staff, ensuring business and operational targets are received
  • Operational understanding of trade compliance as it pertains to transportation and import/export of goods, services and technical assists. Including but not limited to US Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes, Incoterms (2010), importer of record informed compliance, DHS C-TPAT, DOT, and IATA.
  • Drive operational improvement processes/initiatives with regard to demand analysis, purchasing process, inventory accuracy/control and material availability to production OTIF.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in scientific or technical related discipline, business management or logistics
  • 10+ years of supply chain management experience in pharmaceutical/CDMO or related industry
  • 5+ years of direct experience providing supply chain oversight within a manufacturing site
  • Experience managing and tracking departmental budgets, including staff costs, expenses, and revenue achievement
  • Experience in building and managing teams, as well as developing organizational strategies
  • In depth knowledge of inventory systems, supply chain flow process, supply planning and contract manufacturing principles
  • Recognized ability to reduce cost, eliminate waste, streamline operations, and comprise solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic and collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal customers at all levels of an organization
  • Outstanding verbal and written presentation skills, ability to communicate both strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Knowledge in regulatory requirements, including GMP, DOT, OSHA, EPA
