Sr. Systems Analyst, Manufacturing Systems

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Systems Analyst (Manufacturing Systems). This individual will leverage their wide range of general IT knowledge with an emphasis on Manufacturing Technology Applications used in the support of the Manufacturing Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as SME for all assigned technical areas and a generalist in overall IT disciplines.
  • Act as a collaborative force within the business to simplify the multiple discipline IT specialties for the Manufacturing teams.
  • Ensure overall availability of the systems used in the Manufacturing environment including the Rockwell platforms by assessing and improving data integrity, scalability and supportability of solutions.
  • Engage directly with operations, maintenance, quality, engineering, and finance to assure the accuracy, timeliness, and adequacy of the data created from the automation systems and approaches to business continuity
  • Review new equipment and engineering projects to ensure compliance to IT standards and processes, develop and propose alternatives to standards when needed; liaison with necessary IT groups (Infrastructure, Security) and Business (Engineering, Manufacturing) to ensure solutions meet standards and requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvements to processes to streamline IT services to Manufacturing
  • Act as IT lead for relevant systems life cycle documents and take responsible for timely completion of relevant quality systems records, including PRs, CAPAs, Change Controls, Change Actions, and validation documentation
  • Anticipate major customer needs, analyze impact of new technology, and provide recommendations resulting in value-added solutions that meet the customer’s needs
  • Lead technical projects and resolve highly complex, difficult problems
    • Lead in systems documentation, organization, testing, and auditing
  • Maintain computer applications which includes required upgrades, documentation, and validation
    • Schedule downtime with IT and end users, along with notifications and documentation
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of data, provides resolution to issues identified, and updates procedures
  • Ensures and maintains security and appropriate controls in accordance with company standards.
  • Evaluates policies, procedures, and standards for manufacturing systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related field.
  • 5-8 years previous experience in supporting manufacturing applications with an increasing scope of responsibility
  • Previous experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industries preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing environments (i.e., PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, Rockwell software)
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • CPWE/Perdue Model Exposure
  • General Infrastructure knowledge
