Commercial Operation Specialist

This position is responsible for performing daily business functions required to provide products and services to our customers and will be a primary contact for our sales team of Territory Managers and Independent Sales Representatives. This role will also involve completing the processes required to establish and maintain key customer data sets in our ERP system.

Responsibilities:

  • Central contact to triage Territory Manager requests.
  • Oversight of in-bound order management for assigned regions.
  • Responsible for ensuring standard coverage of customer service points of contact (phone, email etc.).
  • New customer set-up (billing, shipping, tax status).
  • Sales order entry, invoicing and returns functions.
  • Track open usages to ensure collection of purchase orders.
  • Ensure end of month and quarter orders are processed up until 7:00 PM Eastern, including holidays.
  • Handle inventory requests for Territory Managers and Independent Sales Representatives.
  • Assist with order discrepancies impacting revenue recognition

Requirements:

  • 4-year or Associates Degree, or a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Strong service focus towards external customers as well as sales force customers.
  • Ability to provide highly accurate, rapid support for hard-charging demanding sales representatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Highly detail oriented.
  • Collaborative and flexible team player that places the interests of the organization first. Willing to handle a variety of tasks both big and small.
  • Able to drive and execute tasks in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment.
  • Experience with ERP and other business enterprise management systems.
  • Experience with inventory and lot traceability a plus.
  • Track record of providing service stability in a changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and solve operational challenges.
  • Comfortable making independent decisions to best handle meeting customer expectations.
  • Willing to travel several times a year to Regional Meetings, as requested.
