The Team Lead Field Service Engineer will support customers and a team of FSE’s throughout the UK and mainland Europe by providing training and performing regular maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of laboratory instruments. The Team Lead will be supporting customers on their Molecular Device and Cytiva brand equipment. Prior experience with Molecular Device and Cytiva equipment is required.

Must be currently based in Ireland, southern France, southern Germany, or Switzerland to apply.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and calibrations on laboratory instruments, particularly Molecular Device and Cytiva brand equipment.
  • Promote the customer’s long-term interests by extending the life of their instruments.
  • Effectively communicate with customers before going on site and account team members to troubleshoot, diagnose, provide repair updates, train end-users, and ensure full resolution of all customer needs.
  • Establish fluency in relevant service documentation, including but not limited to preventative maintenance service reports, IQ/OQ documentation, and other service documentation with an ISO 9001:2015 mindset.
  • Create and properly maintain customer service logs and documentation.
  • Accurately record service reports, time entries, and the use of repair parts.
  • Follow the Company and customer on-site procedures, including customer GxP protocols, safety requirements, company dress code requirements, and SOPs.
  • Follows and promotes company policies and procedures.
  • Contributes to SOP formulations as needed.
  • Represent and promote the company in a positive, professional manner.
  • Serve as a member of the customer account team by contributing your technical expertise to resolve customer questions, troubleshoot customer issues, and identify additional opportunities to serve our customers.
  • Having experience with any of the following instrumentation will be highly considered.
    • FPLC and Bioprocess, Microplate Readers, Microplate Washers, Genevac® Evaporators, Typhoon® Imaging Systems, Incubators, Surface Plasmon Resonance, and Centrifuges.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's or bachelor’s degree in a major illustrating mathematical and/or engineering aptitude, OR
  • High School Diploma/GED and 10 or more years of experience servicing biomedical/electronic/mechanical equipment, OR
  • Equivalent military education/experience, OR
  • Participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program, or Practicum.
  • No visa sponsorship, and must have a valid EU, UK passport and driver's license.
