The Machine Operator is responsible for the safety, quality, and production within the spinning Line.

Key Duties

  • Assembly, Loading, IPCs (In Process Checks), Packing, Startup/Shutdowns and Changeovers to Standard
  • Replenish material
  • Follow production schedules
  • Calculate and record results in data entry systems
  • Jam clearance
  • Complete CIL tasks
  • Eliminate losses, find and fix defects
  • Drive own results and priorities through the 5 Rocks process
  • Promptly elevate issues to key team members
  • Assist in onboarding new team members
  • Participate in planned stops, DDS (24 hour planning) and shift handovers
  • Routine off loads
  • Operate in compliance with all Safe Practices & SOPs
  • Responsible for delivering all Product Quality Requirements for Class 1 Medical Devices
  • Completion and adherence to all Quality SOP’s and GMP’s that is directed for WIP
  • Maintain a Quality-focused culture in a manufacturing environment
  • Meet or exceed Business Performance Targets for Production, Process Reliability, & Scrap
  • Maintain a Lean Manufacturing culture to avoid downtime and scrap loss
  • Maintain daily goals to ensure minimum loss of downtime on the machines
  • Other duties as deemed necessary

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Working experience of loss elimination methodologies preferred (TPM, Lean manufacturing, 5S, OEE, etc) preferred
  • Collaboration skills- must be able to work effectively in a highly diverse, global, multi-functional environment
  • Strong communication skills preferred
  • Assembly line experience preferred
