Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and coordinates production staff and day-to-day operations across manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, and logistics.
  • Drives adherence to production schedules and ensures on-time delivery of customer commitments.
  • Plans, schedules, and manages production activities and staff schedules to meet business demands.
  • Manages production budgets and implements cost control and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversees the procurement, utilization, modification, and maintenance of production equipment.
  • Ensures all company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements are strictly enforced.
  • Reviews staffing and material requirements to consistently meet production targets.

Facilities & Maintenance Oversight:

  • Leads all aspects of facility operations across multiple sites, including building maintenance and infrastructure.
  • Oversees maintenance of production equipment, ensuring uptime, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Manages facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and utilities.
  • Coordinates and supervises internal maintenance staff and external vendors (e.g., HVAC, electrical, landscaping, snow removal).
  • Ensures upkeep of grounds, parking areas, and overall site conditions.
  • Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

Safety, Compliance & Quality:

  • Researches, communicates, and enforces current health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ensures full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Creates, implements, and continuously improves standard operating procedures for production and operations.
  • Analyzes production and quality control processes to identify and resolve issues.
  • Implements and enforces quality control procedures and tracking programs to meet company standards.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Promotes collaboration and effective coordination across departments.
  • Acts as a liaison between production and other functions to prevent delays and miscommunication.
  • Partners with leadership to achieve overall company objectives.
  • Participates in customer meetings to provide production and shipping updates and resolve technical or scheduling challenges.

Team Leadership & Performance Management:

  • Supervises, mentors, and develops production staff.
  • Monitors and evaluates employee performance to drive accountability and growth.
  • Fosters a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

  • Prepares, reviews, and maintains production and operational reports.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and implements solutions to enhance efficiency and output.
  • Performs additional duties as required by senior management.
