Job Description
Supporting US Generic Pharmaceutical Sales and Products
Our client is looking to hire a Director of Commercial Operations. This is an opportunity for an individual to join a growing specialty pharmaceutical company that is in the midst of starting up U.S. Operations and will be responsible for the company's overall marketing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate long-term sales objectives for all commercial product launches.
- Develop and manage a compliance program and internal platform for all RFP awards, launch awards, and ongoing business awards.
- Create, communicate, and coordinate new product launch plans to achieve established sales targets.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive product pricing, forecasting, analysis, and marketing strategy for the Company’s growing commercial product line.
- Manage an overall pricing strategy across all channels of distribution with the support of an analyst.
- Upload all necessary and imperative information into client portals including RFP’s, Pricing, HAD’s, Labels, etc.
- Provide proactive and in-depth financial analysis of product and market specific sales.
- Cultivate and maintain a close working relationship with the Finance Department to develop positioning and pricing strategies to enhance profitability.
- Provide sales reporting to management – gaps and fillers.
- Understand key competitive issues in the Rx market in relation to pricing and business strategy while aligning with the sales team.
- Conduct advanced analysis and business research to report on current and future product performance in which competition may impact overall revenue.
- Provide monthly Demand Forecasting while coordinating with Eversana
- Oversee the building & maintaining of performance dashboards internally
- Familiarization with Serialization and DSCA requirements
- Attend annual trade meetings such as ECRM, NACDS Annual, HDA, NACDS TSE.
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA strongly preferred
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in the generic pharmaceutical industry
- Contracting with Wholesalers & GPOs
- EDI implementation experience
- Strong fundamental understanding of commercial operations in the generics industry
- Excellent analytical and forecasting skills.
- Extensive experience with IQVIA as well as Wolters Kluwer, FDB and Prospector Rx sales databases.
- Self-starter who can be effective with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of a company
