POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager, IT will ensure efficient operation of the IT department in alignment with IT objectives while meeting acceptable service levels for the user community.

  • Shall adhere to all regulatory requirements, including FDA, EPA, OSHA, and related safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices.
  • Identify and protect the original technical information as part of the company property.

Key accountabilities:

  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, security, data backup, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems including Servers, Telephones, network elements, PCs. Operating systems, hardware, software, and other peripheral equipment.
  • Review performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, manage IT Budgets, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements.
  • Work with decision makers to identify, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions.
  • Define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices, working closely with management to help maintain FDA compliance on all IT infrastructure and applications as needed.
  • Plan and coordinate IT-related activities, provide direction and support for daily and mission-critical operational activities of the IT department.
  • Assist in the development of bid requirements and requests for proposal for all hardware and software upgrades, review submitted bids for compliance with stated requirements, and make recommendations.
  • Work with users and global teams to define business and system requirements for new technology implementations.
  • Strong IT Infrastructure management experience
  • Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, Data Integrity, Security, disaster recovery, data backup and upgrades.
  • Support development of business case and cost/benefit analysis for IT spending. Responsible for asset management of IT hardware, software, and equipment.
  • Keep current with the latest technologies and maintain regular written / verbal communication with all employees regarding pertinent IT activities.
  • Present periodic reports to Senior Management and develop internal team.
  • Lead site IT Operations and Application teams in areas of technical assessments and/or design of appropriate IT infrastructure setup
  • Works with and co-ordinates with Corp IT and/or vendors for Level 2|3 support and other complex issues that may require advanced technical assessments and/or changes to existing solution components
  • Establish priorities, timelines, and ensure appropriate resources are available for projects/initiatives


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years work related experience in the field of computer science.
  • Proven working experience as an IT Manager
  • Proficiency with Microsoft, VMWare and Network technologies, Microsoft certifications and other computer science related certifications a plus. Professional certifications like MCSA/MCSE, CCNA/CCNP would be desirable
  • Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
  • Experience of working in a mid-to-large organizations in the manufacturing space ideally Pharma vertical.
  • Essential to be a team player being able to assist other team members whenever required. Knowledge sharing and collaborative approach is key to success
