Job Description
The Director, Project Management is responsible for leadership of the Project Management team in addition to overall project leadership for all new product development activities.
Accountabilities And Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, mentor and manage the Project Management Team.
- P&L responsibility
- Lead and manage individual projects including financials, timelines, sourcing, team dynamics, and customer service.
- Serve as liaison between Sales, Sr. Management, and individual project teams for communicating expectations and delivering results
- Organize and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams for new product development initiatives
- Plan and effectively execute projects on time/on budget
- Evaluate new business opportunities, including detailed cost analysis
- Provide a high level of customer interaction
- Maintain a high level of effective positive communication with coworkers, customers, management, and outside sales representatives

All employees are expected to report to work regularly and promptly. Other duties relating to departmental mission, not specifically detailed in this section may be assigned.
- Master’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, PhD highly preferred
- At least five (5) years’ experience in a pharmaceutical Project Management / Technical Transfer role
- Experience with overall management of and responsibility for new product development project teams
- Familiarity with cGMP regulations
- Demonstrable experience with direct customer contact and relationship management
- Skills managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Understanding of business plans and financial impact
- Good project management skills with a high attention to detail
- Ability to lead and motivate others
- Excellent communication skills
- Windows based computer knowledge
